Meaning

Baptism Ceremony is a Christian tradition and rite of passage for infants, sometimes called christening. This is a ritual performed on children using water in the Christian church, just as Jesus Christ was baptized in the Jordan River.

Example

The baptism  ceremony is traditionally performed three times by sprinkling or pouring water over the child's head or partial or complete immersion in water. "I baptize you: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit," includes the trinity invocation.
