Meaning

Junnu is a sweet, milk pudding (creamy delicacy) popular in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in southern India. It is also known by several other names, including kharvas and kharwas.

Example

Colostrum milk, the first milk a cow produces after giving birth, is used to make junnu. Cardamom and saffron are added to the milk before it is sweetened with jaggery or sugar.

Sentence

The sweet is usually served cold, either on its own or with a topping of almonds or dried fruit. In most of southern India, it is revered as a delicacy due to its smooth texture and sweet, aromatic taste.
